What was different between second and first pregnancy?
I am on my second pregnancy ( i don’t know yet how far along i am, i had my periods(But i thought i was pregnant in aug, and sept i just didn’t test it), but i was having morning sickness and went to the doctors, and i am for sure pregnant, also i have not had an ultra sound yet.) BUT EVERYTHING IS TIMES TWO THIS TIME AROUND!!!! I am a lot sicker, and getting bigger quicker! just wondering what you ladies noticed in differences between first and second pregnancies?

You do get bigger quicker with the second pregnancy. I think I read that it’s because you have already stretched out those muscles. I was sicker with my first one and I craved different foods with each kid. Each pregnancy is different. You’ll be quicker to recognize movement this go around as well.

The same thing happened to me. I was barely sick the first time around, and was very sick during the second. I was showing a lot earlier and all of my ‘symptoms’ seemed stronger. With my second pregnancy, I also have a lot more cramping and no cravings (I had a lot of cravings during my first). When they say no two pregnancies are alike, they aren’t kidding. They’ve been very different.

My 1st was a girl and was perfect! No sickness and I loved being pregnant! I felt beautiful and sexy! This time its a boy and I had AWFUL AWFUL morning sickness, all kinds of aches & pains, anything gross or painful Ive had it! 2 UTI. A bladder infection. V. discharge. Tons of contractions! I cant sleep and my back & pelvic area is always aching!

This is my 5th pregnancy and i am allot sicker with this one than i was with any of the others, i have not had a scan done yet and am waiting on my appointment.
i was allot bigger with my second, third and so on because my mussels are not the same after having the first, they tend not to hold the baby as snuggly as the first time so you show faster, each of my pregnancy’s have been different.

Getting bigger quicker with the second pregnancy is completely normal. Now, about that morning sickness — double the sickness is a sign of twin pregnancy. If you have two babies in there, there are twice the hormones, etc., and it literally makes you twice as sick as with a singleton. I’ve witnessed this first hand as my daughter is due any day with identicals boys. Best to be making an appointment and telling the doctor your concerns so that they can do an ultrasound to look for two little angels in there! Congrats and good luck on your pregnancy. P. S. I’m not saying you are having twins, but it is a sign, for sure, but you could also just have more morning sickness this time around. If you are sick from two, you will just know that something is really really off kilter.

You get bigger faster, you feel the baby sooner and lower down in your pelvis. I have found that I am much sicker this time around or maybe its that I don’t have the patience like I did the first time. Its harder letting yourself rest when you have to chase after someone.
I find the hardest part to be getting my 2 year old to understand that she can’t climb on me like she likes. She is “heavy” all of a sudden. Take it easy and try to do as little heavy lifting as possible. Those ligament pains are a bit more painful this time and lifting a 25+ pound kid isn’t easy.
