Can a [youth] Certified BSA Lifeguard instruct and certify others in Safety Afloat and Safe Swim Defense?
I am a BSA Lifeguard and need to certify adult leaders in SSD and SA. Am I able to certify them?

The link below is scouting.org ‘s page on Safety Afloat. National doesn’t have any specific guidelines on whom may certify. It is up to your council to approve the people who teach the course. So if your council gives you the OK, you’re good to go.
