Where do teams like the 1995 Braves and the 1989 Athletics rank in overall greatness is baseball history?
What do you think about teams like the 1995 Atlanta Braves and the 1989 Oakland Athletics and 2004 Red Sox, 2007 Red Sox, 2005 White Sox and the 2001 Dbacks? and their ranking and greatness. Are any of these teams capable of beating teams like the 1998 Yankees or the 1927 Yankees.

They don’t. The greatest team ever assembled was the 1961 New York Yankees. The ’95 Braves & ’89 A’s don’t even come close to the best teams ever.

Teams that were far better than the two you’ve mentioned:
Yankees – 1961, 1927, 1998, 1932, 1956
Reds – 1976
Indians – 1954 (although they did not win the series, was better)
Tigers – 1968, 1984
These are just a few that were considered truly great teams. As to whether your two teams could beat the others in a seven game series, it is possible but unlikely.
