Album Artists are Those Bands/Singers who released the Album
n contributing artists are those who are there as featured artists in one or two songs or maybe more n they are not really a part of the band compiling the album…

It would be the artist for the whole album, as opposed to CD’s that have a variety of artists performing different tracks.
