Have you tried nipple stimulation? That has been proven to be pretty effective. http://www.givingbirthnaturally.com/nipple-stimulation-to-induce-labor.html. But really, the baby is going to come when he or she is ready, which is best for the both of you. So there’s no guarantee that any method will work if your baby isn’t ready to come. Just try to stay positive and remind yourself of the end reward for all of your discomfort. Hope little on decides to come soon, though. Good luck and congrats! 🙂

Eating hot curry is traditionally thought to help kick-start some action, presumably because it may encourage bowel movement. Taking castor oil is a much less enjoyable version of the same idea.

Exercise may help to move the baby down a bit inside your pelvis. The more pressure exerted on your cervix, the more likely that labour will start.

Having sex is another open that theoretically, should encourage labour to start, because semen contains prostaglandins – chemicals similar to those in the pessaries used to induse labour. So if your not too exhausted try giving it another go.

Nipple stimulation is often cited as a way of a way of inducing labour as it releases the hormone oxytocin, which stimulates the uterus. That said, you or your partner would need to stimulate your nipples for around one hour, three times a day, to have any significant effect, so i suspect this is unlikely to be the most helpful option!

    Hope he/she comes soon!
    All the best 🙂
