What is a good keyboard to purchase that is good for a starter and is able to hook to computer?

I am looking into learning how to play the keyboard/piano and was looking for one to purchase…anyone have any knowledge in this area that they could help me out with? I am not wanting to spend a ton of money at all but would like the device to have the option to hook to the computer to record certain things. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Look at least any Roland or Yamaha model.

    My suggestion is get ProTools of you are wanting to record and compose. Then, get a $100 m-audio midi keyboard. You will be able to create professional sounding recordings, and will have access to a ton of sound effects and instruments.
