    say them this..

in this world everyone has destiny to go . if god closes one way then he will surely open another way so tell them don’t do that. also tell them this too will change. and try to find what their problem and try to solve that.

First of all you should explain to him/her how important and fun life is. Just because of 1 mistake you’re giving up? you should also tell them to never give up. You are here for a reason, and if you wanted to suicide.
If he/she is depressed you could try calming them down and talking with them, if you leave them alone something bad might happen. I am not saying that they will commit suicide because of you leaving them, but they need someone beside them to help fight this thought that are testing him/her. I hope this has helped because I have been in that situation, and when you’re mad you don’t care what anyone says about life. But read the bible see how Jesus died to save us, and he/she is throwing the pain Jesus went through just because of 1 mistake that he made?
Cheer him/her up give them something they like, you have to show them how life is so wonderful

It really depends on what they’re depressed about. Try to get them to talk to you by staying calm and being sympathetic. Even if what they’re upset about seems silly, it’s very real to them. If you can, get them to understand that life isn’t over because of whatever they’re upset about. Life is a roller coaster… It always has its ups and downs and some are unpredictable. When things seem like they can’t get any worse, the only place it can go is up.

If you truly believe they are a danger to themselves, you should call someone who can help them better. Their parents should know whether they still live at home or not. Some people you just can’t talk down, and they need to be hospitalized and get on some medications. All in all, when you’re talking to them, though, stay calm and collected and think before you speak. Listen to everything they have to say and try your best to understand it.

try and point out all they have to live for, and that you care about them or you wouldn’t be helping them through this
