My brother in law smokes pot around my 14 and 6 year old niece and nephew, what are the effects on them?

He smokes everyday in the house and the cars. Whenever you walk into the house it reeks of pot, i want to know if breathing in this smell will have any adverse side effects on these developing children.
He doesn’t smoke in front of them, but the smell lingers on everything, you can’t get into the car or house without smelling it.

Yes. It is second hand smoke and that of a hallucinogenic. It can kill brain cells not to mention growing up pre determined to abuse the substance. It is endangering them to be in that environment. You say he smokes it in the car with them in it? That’s driving under the influence which is endangering their lives. Have you thought of calling family and children services?

SADLY, im living this. I am a single mom. i dont smoke cigarettes/weed/drink or do drugs. however these morons in the apartment below me do tons of weed. It is pathetic. landlord cant do anything. in the past 2 years of living above them my kid had pneumonia once and bronchitis repeatedly for the first year. I have had to go on an inhaler and breatheing is getting worse and wrose. Im moving in 1 week becase of this. i think its horrible for others to make others’ breathe in theri smoke. so yes it does have affects : hence the inahler for me and the pneumonia/bronchitis on my toddler
