is there an appreciable difference in power usage between a big fridge and a small one?

Say, we’re comparing your average size top-freezer refrigerator- about 15 cubic feet storage total- and a smaller one, with about half that capacity. Is there any savings to be had in electricity usage? And I don’t mean monetary straight out, because obviously that varies from one area to the next, I mean more in terms of power used to run it at the basic temp. setting.

Thanks!

most appliances come with an energuide sticker that shows the power consumption. I would rely on that before anything else. My reason is because it will differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.

    cheers
