Is it okay to be a rockstar and not know how to play the guitar if you’re a lead singer?

What’s wrong with that? Look at Bill Kaulitz, lead singer of Tokio Hotel. He can barely even play the PIANO, but he’s still one of the biggest German rockstars. I’m sure Adam Lambert would be considered a rockstar too. So I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. If it really bothers you, then take up a course when you’re free or even learn online. Good Luck 🙂

A good guitar player is easy to find.
A good front man is hard as hell to find.

Do your thing and entertain the audience. If you can do that you can always find a guitarist.

Mick Jagger says yes, so did Elvis, so did Bon Scott, Robert Plant, lots of them. Great singers are easier to find than great guitarists, key word being great.

The voice is a tough instrument to master. A singer is just as much a musician as anyone else in the band regardless of whether they play another instrument or not. Also part of being a “rockstar” singer is being the front man. I had rather see a great singer/front man without a guitar around his neck personally.
