How do you choose your God and Goddess once becoming a Wiccan?
Me, again, I know. But I want to know how should I choose my God and Goddess? Is there a certain way to choose who your God and Goddess will be? If you are a Wiccan and answering my question, please tell me who your God and Goddess is and why.. ah, this is all so confusing but then again it makes so much sense.

I’m Satanist, but I used to know a bunch of Wiccans, including my step mom.
With her, whatever spells she did, she asked a different God or Goddess depending on what she was asking for. Certain goddesses like Kali (or something) she would ask for vengeance. While others she would ask for money if they represented wealth and all that.
So basically, I think you can just pick and choose. Depending on needs.

Usually one meditates upon the deities until they manifest before you in the form THEY wish to present to you. The Gods CHOOSE you, you don’t choose them (and they can manifest in numerous forms, not just one God and one Goddess). Patience. Do some research on various deities from various pantheons and learn their associations, some may have already made themselves known to you, you just weren’t paying attention.
FYI: I’m not Wiccan, but I do honor the Goddess Hekate/Hecate

Do you really believe in that? That doesn’t make any sense!!
GOD IS ONE
We should worship God alone, we should pray to God alone. He is the creator of the heavens and the earth.
Almighty God is absolutely One and His Oneness should never be compromised by associating partners with Him – neither in worship nor in belief.
God that Muslims worship is the same God that Jews and Christians worship – because there is only one God.
Muslims believe that all of God’s prophets, which include Abraham, Noah, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, brought the same message of Pure Monotheism.

It’s a deeply personal thing.
I’ve had people describe how a particular deity “called to them”.
Closet I’ve had was a totally inexplainable situation when researching where I think I found the only three books ever printed that described the Celtic Brigit as a minor Goddess of the heath – which appealed to me. Having chosen her I then found my ‘error’ & realised it was not an error – more a “coincidence”/”happy accident”/”supernatural involvement”-ish.

I have a patron God and Goddess but I also call upon others when I am in need of their strength. My patron God came to me first in a meditation. He is Cernunnos, also known as The Horned God. He is the Celtic God of nature and the hunt. It was some time later that the Goddess Ceridwen came to me. She is the Celtic Goddess of wisdom and is often called The Keeper of the Cauldron of Wisdom. My people were all from the British Isles so that Celtic Gods claimed me made perfect sense to me. That isn’t always the truth but it was in my case. As was already suggested, research all of the pantheons and then meditate. Ask that if it is Their Will, you may be shown Their Face. It may not be an obvious hint. You may find yourself walking in a forest and see an owl. Or on a beach and see a large shell. Research what God or Goddess uses anything you see in your meditation. For me the cauldron was the tip off for Ceridwen. Cernunnos was more obvious, I found Him sitting on a thrown made of tree branches in the middle of a forest glade. The large deer antlers on his head was a dead give away. LOL I have suggested this here before but I’ll do it again. For anyone seeking answers wiccantogether.com is a wonderful place to find teachers who will help you on your journey. I’m a member there under Pyewacket. Look me up and friend me. Bright Blessings

Seriously?
Gods and goddesses do NOT exist. Only one God does.
Listen to Abu Bakr (Jeezum I hope I spelled that right!!)
Gods and goddesses are an urban myyth. nothing but pure dumb. satanists are pure dumb also. Stupid, stupid. Believe in God. He brought you into this world, and he loves you, even if you do worship the creature that hates you and wants to destroy your soul *cough coughSTUPID*
God will save you, he MADE you. without Him, you wouldn’t be able to feel pain, true, but we learn from pain. Without Him, it’s also true you wouldn’t be able to feel joy. You can FIND pain, and you can FIND joy. God won’t control you because he wills you to feel those things on your own, He’s no puppet master. So why would you worship someone who is? Don’t jump into a religion just because it’s “cool” or “differant”. And no worshiping a fake god or goddes makes NO sense. At all.
And in whatever “religion” worships more than one “god” or “goddess”, do any of them really give a crap about the individual? Try looking into a loving, warm, and caring religion is, and you will find out that life is like that also.
I will pray for you. God bless you all!!^.^V

Generally, for those that do assign names to the God and Goddess, the names reflect the way the God and Goddess have called to them and how they see the Lord and Lady. Not all Wiccans have patrons or names for the Lord and Lady, but those that do are called by those deities rather than making the choice themselves. Personally, I see the Lord and Lady as transcending any name that we might give Them, and so I prefer to call Them the God and Goddess and not use any names for Them. However, different Wiccans view deity differently. I’m a semi-soft polytheist in that I believe in all gods as separate and distinct beings but that are all connected and all stem from the Lord and Lady. My patron goddess is not the same as the Goddess to me, but she chose me more than I chose her. Too many neophytes are under the impression that you HAVE to have a name for the Lord and Lady, and you really don’t. All names for the gods are created by humans anyway, so what matters is how the gods appear to you and what name fits them best in your mind.

You can just choose based on what god and goddess you feel most drawn to. I only have one god and highly recommend having only one god at a time. But basically just choose a god that appeals to you.
Before Wicca i always felt out of place, like i didnt belong as a christian. A friend introduced me to Wicca i researched it and automatically clicked with it and I know I am only 12 but still i feel like this is something i will be doing for he rest of my life,( and i know what you are thinking YOU ARE ONLY 12 YOU DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING,but yeah I do I have been studying for 3 years so I know alittle bit. I choose my God….. Actually thinking back on it I never choose my Patron God he (ΠΟΣΕΙΔΩΝ Poseidon) choose me. I have always felt like I have a deep connection to the water like ΠΟΣΕΙΔΩΝ(sorry I like to write it in ancient Greek) is my second father or something, anyways so research different Gods and go with the one you have the most connection with

Hey there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing several weeks of hard work due to no data backup. Do you have any methods to prevent hackers?

If everything falls apart and there’s no social action we can always go to the Rapture apartment and listen to that radio music and put in one of the solitaire card games and play that.
