Do you think reading a book and reading the internet give the same benefits?

Say you read a book whether it be fiction or non-fiction and say you read an E-book or a news article on the internet, do you think its the same kind of reading? Are you learning, experiencing and being involved as you would in a book?

Sure you would get the same information, but the experience of it isn’t as great. I like reading books i can pick out myself, and sit down somewhere outside and read under a tree. I think you enjoy it more if your reading a book than an E-book.

I think there is a difference mentally. A book is tangible, there’s something about being able to touch the pages that just isn’t there in an E-book. I don’t think learning would be necessarily different, but I tend to learn better from physical books. For some reason I find it hard to retain information from an E-book.

Plus, I can read a book for hours and be ok, but if I read for a long time off a scene, my eyes hurt. I don’t want eye cancer!
