Can you wash red and green clothes together?

I have a red and green t-shirt, should I wash them together or separate?

They both say on the label ‘wash with like colours’.

Thanks.
Sorry if I confused anyone. I have 2 t-shirts, one is red, and the other is green, and I want to know if it is okay to wash them in together.

It depends on the material. I (think) cotton would be okay, but don’t quote me..

You can wash anything together, just put everything on cold.

you said 1 T-shirt so wash it separate to avoid the colours from running add 1/2 cup white vinegar to the rinse this will prevent the colours from bleeding and seal them as well.
    Edit
yes in cold water and use the vinegar for the rinse just the same.

    That’s definitely okay.
I have clothes in my washing machine right now with those colors haha.
Wash them on cold, and of course don’t use detergent for whites or darks. Just a general detergent, maybe one that prevents color fading. Another way you can avoid fading color is adding white vinegar, but I usually don’t because I can’t even be around the smell of it haha.
    Hope that helps you out.

Yes, certainly, but always use cold water. You might consider rinsing in white vinegar (adding 1 c. to the rinse water) which helps ‘set’ the colors.

Also, for strong colors, it’s often recommended to make the first wash with 1/4 c. of bleach (which I do not like to use), added to the wash water, which also sets the colors even on one garment. I have done that with clothing in Crayola colors, mixed on one garment, and it did work – the clothing designer suggested it to prevent future “running” but you can check with http://www.goodhousekeeping.com, too.

Red dye often runs, it is rarely ‘color fast’. Red can be safely washed with brown, black, navy, other reds. You could chance it with green, but if this is the first wash then wash the red with a white handkerchief or a white cotton sock to see if the colour is going to run.
