anyone ever taken a home pregnancy test and wet back to it later and you could see a faint line?
I took the test earlier today and it showed neg… but then I looked at it just now and there is a faint line there. I a probable THE most fertile peron alive so it would not shock me if I were. When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I had pretty much the same thing occour because I was just newly pregnant. Anyone had this happen before?

After 10 minutes the tests are not meant to be read. Some brands will turn pink after about an hour and look positive. It is just the dye in the test bleeding through.

I only buy the digital pregnancy tests, they clearly tell you pregnant or not pregnant.

You’re not supposed to trust any results after 10 minutes. I’ve read tons of articles that say DON’T go back and dig the test out of the trash or something just to “double check”. The correct results should show up in 3 to 10 minutes.

My HPTs (I am obsessed with them for the next few days till I get a positive or a period) say NOT to read a negative result after 10 minutes, which leads me to think it could ‘change’ even if not true. Just re-test in 2-3 days.

THIS REALLY DEPENDS ON HOW LONG AFTER YOU WENT BACK. THAT IS WHY THEY SAY TO LOOK ONLY MINUTES AFTER PERFORMING THE TEST, NOT HOURS.
THE DYES AND SUCH WILL SET SHOWING AN INACCURATE RESULT.
BUT TO BE SURE YOU HAVE OPTIONS. EITHER TAKE ANOTHER TEST, GET A DIGITAL TEST THAT CLEARLY STATES PREGNANT OR NOT, NO LINES, OR SEE YOUR DR AND THEM PERFORM THE TEST.

Yes that happened to me. You really shouldn’t read a pregnancy test after 10 minutes, but even a faint line means it is detecting the pregnancy hormone hcg. That happened to me when I bought a cheaper test, but than I had to know for sure so I bought a digital one and it came up positive right away. Good luck and congrats if you are pregnant!

Yep. It read negative after 10 min. Then my period still didn’t come 2 days later, so I took another one and it came up positive. So, I dug the old one out of the trash, and sure enough, there were 2 lines. Yours could be a false positive. I would wait a few days and try again. Or, go to a planned parenthood office and get them to give you a pregnancy test (it’s free).

Hi yes I did. When I was pregnate with my daughter I took a test and there was no line, I went back about 2 hours later and there was a faint line. Called Dr. next day and YES I was indeed prego. That has happened to me with all my kids I have 3. So yes it does happen. Good luck. Let me know how it went.
