why and when did chivalry become weak?

in the old days, when guys would walk down the street…he could take off his hat or smile at an unknown woman and chances are, she would respond in kind

but these days, such an act would probly result in the guy looking like a player and the woman would probly give him a strange look or not acknowledge him at all..

why and when did chivalry weaken?

the advent of the womans equality movement starting after the late 60s. Women became empowered, and with power comes a social arrogance.

What does this have to do with chivalry ? Anyway maybe if respecting women hadn’t become the best way for men to become disrespectable to other men, then they wouldn’t act like such arseholes all the time and saying hello to an unknown woman (which I didn’t know was common then and I find to be suspicious anyway) would be taken less badly…

By the way not only has chivalry long disappeared, but in fact everything looks like the more you treat women like shit the more other guys will treat you like you’re the man, and if you do something nice to a woman however you are labelled a “loser”. But is there any reason why you’re making this look like it is women who are being bad to “nice” men ? ^^

i DO not know what planet you guys are from, but on the one i live on …..
when a man says hello to me on the street i usually return his greeting with a smile.
when a man opens a door for me i say thank you with a smile.
when i am going in or out of say a store and a man is behind me or another woman i hold the door, with a smile.ETC.
i do not consider all that chivalry. i call it respect for others. i appreciate it when i am respected
there is not enough of respect left in this world. you can call it what you want to. but considering the dignity of others is what makes for peace. it is not that you say hello it is how you say hello.

but whenmomma males say hello to a woman like this “hay there moma ! you sure got a swsnubedoking a$$” or crap like that you ask for being snubed.

i recently had trouble getting my gas cap off at a station. a teen gang banger (tattoos and the whole nine yards came over and said”Let me get this for you grandma” i said thank you with a smile.
the man in a nice suite behind me in line sat hoonking for me to hurry up. who was the gentleman?

    there are two main reasons
    1) feminism happened and females gained and craved more independence, and began to see these actions as men thinking they were incapable
    2) women often see strong male figures as protective and therefore good partners. guys who open the door for you are often the guys who couldn’t fight for their lives
not always though. just in my experience
