   you can not get a better anti virus with anti spyware system for free.
   it has many features you will have to pay for in other systems.

   don’t forget to register or you will only have it for 30 days
   by registering you will get a licence for a full year.
   just re-register at the end of the year to get another one year licence.

   if you do not like the look of Avast
   then microsoft supply a system for free..

   Microsoft security essentials is currently the best free AV. And it’s on Microsoft’s website.
   AVAST ain’t bad either.

   There are a number of free AV on cnet downloads page. Which also has a ton of other nice freeware.

   Most of the previous suggestions are all good and I agree with them. I’m only adding this as another option.

   Panda has recently release a new free antivirus program. Pand Cloud Anti Virus http://www.cloudantivirus.com/

   I use it on my Windows 7 netbook, not problems so far.

   i suggest you get free Malwarebytes with it because some things get past your anti virus software

   also if you want to prevent yourself from getting a virus even more you can download Mcafee siteadvisor and FIrefox The safest web browser at the moment do to the fact it scanns the file befor you install it to your computer
