These colors seem to work well in covering dirt and wear;plus they can pair with any other accent colors surrounding them…

I would get something with a print on it plain colours show too much , I have beige and I hate it I had brown and everything shows on it and you would have to vacuum it every day , so I would get something like this

you can choose a colour that goes well with your furniture and wall colours ,those are only an example

I think it really depends which way your house faces (please don’t laugh) I face north and we used to have a blue carpet the hall was always cold and dark. Now I have a plain rose colour and the hall and stairs have a warmness about them. Red can be very good but again can be overpowering. Enjoy your new carpet.
