Division this is probably the simplest way to do orchid propagation. It requires separating the plant from the new growth. You just simply need to sort out the roots and make sure that they are separated from one another. This technique can produce a lot of plants; you can cut the healthy roots so that each root will have a new shoot. If properly done, it can even create a full-sized orchid.

Aerial cutting is one of the methods in orchid propagation, this is mostly done to Dendobrium type of orchids. In here, the orchid is almost a full-grown plant before it is removed from its parent plant. This technique does not require fertilization; it means that the new growth would most likely be the same as the parent plants.
