Spiritually speaking, what’s the difference between religion and superstition?

I don’t want no dictionary definition concluding that superstition is considered far fetched and religion is considered true or something like that, because they are both the exact same thing? The belief in supernatural irrational and completely illogical explanations for things that we in most cases already have figured out scientifically.
So it’s basically the same thing? Just religion is organized? Why the hell are you looked at like a superstitious idiot if you believe that breaking a mirror will give you bad luck, and not when you think you will go to a place called Hell if you masturbate?

Society is so messed up, seriously..

So true, I do not understand why they believe in those fairytales. It is not rational at all to believe in those stupid stories made up by man. Religion is most definitely superstitition.

Religion generally is organized. Superstition is personal.

Religion is a concept of creation or being, it is a look at the world on a macro-scale. Superstition is relevant to singularities, small events we try to explain on the micro-level.

They are actually two overlapping groups. Some beliefs are both religious and superstitious. Some are superstitious but not religious. Some are religious but not superstitious.

A belief is superstitious if it implies that an object, event, or action has powers outside the normal realm of cause and effect to either alter, assess, or predict the natural world. A belief is religious if it relates to god, a deity, or a supernatural realm.

For example, a typical belief in the healing power of crystals or magnets is superstitious but not necessarily religious. The same for a belief that walking under a ladder will bring bad luck. A belief that god sends sinners to hell in the afterlife is religious but not superstitious. A belief that prayer can heal the sick is both religious and superstitious.

Religion is an organized belief structure. Usually it revolves around a higher meaning or purpose, and Governments impose no taxation on any recognized religious buildings or ground. Superstition has no organization, doesn’t revolve around a higher purpose, and usually originates from old-wives tales.

May I am a bit too longer in my writing but do read it.
A religion generally consists of 3 things namely COSMOLOGY(creation of life & probable end of the same), CODE OF CONDUCT(set of stds laid down for behaving in different conditions) & RITUALS(norms for std occassions).
Now, thre third part is tortured heavily over the period of time. Based on temptation & fear, many unexplainable rituals are added. The temptation or fear makes one not to ask for reason and so they continue & grow. Like ssing a weird dream in morning, sneezing while starting anything, and many more.
Now no religions prescribe a method for seeing dream or sneezing but the idea propagates. As I have said earlier, the fear makes one not to ask for explanation and that is superstition.
