My dog is showing aggressiveness when Both my mom and I are petting him at the same time?
So need a little help why on earth would my dog get upset when he is sitting on moms lap and I lean over and pet him to? He will bear his teeth and growl at me. The first time he did this he did get into trouble with an extra large NO bad Dog. Not sure how else to correct this behavior Its like he wants only one mom at a time. Is he confused about something?

If he is on a lap it’s probably a dominance thing, he’s claimed that person and if you try to pet him your getting close to his property. Try not letting him in any laps.

He’s claiming you mum’s lap! If this happens, your mum should put him on the floor immediately saying NO!. In fact, for now, it might be a good idea for nobody to actually have this lad on their lap because he’s exhibiting dominance behaviour, and this needs to be curbed before he deteriorates into actually biting. He needs to know his place, and allowing him up on any lap, is ‘elevating’ him to a more dominant position (literally!!).
